Diversionary Program for Disney Dining Fiasco
A young couple from the Midwest spent their honeymoon in Orlando at Walt Disney World. While there, they enjoyed the sights, rides, and attractions offered there. They also ate at the amusement park. One of the meals they ate was at a Disney buffet. The couple decided to pay what they felt was the appropriate amount and left to go back to their hotel.
The couple received a call from the restaurant who told them they had not paid enough for their meal. The couple offered to settle up the difference the next day, but they were charged with a misdemeanor offense of obtaining goods and services by fraud. The attorneys at the Umansky Law Firm were able to push this offense into a diversionary program. This guaranteed the charges would be dismissed upon successfully completing the program.
Because Walt Disney World is a major attraction in the country, thousands of people come to Orlando every year to be a part of it. However, lapses in judgment in the theme parks of Disney World still have real world consequences.
If you have been charged with fraud in the Orange County or Orland, Florida area, or anywhere else in the state of Florida, please contact the experienced fraud attorneys at the Umansky Law Firm for an initial and confidential case evaluation.
