Port Orange Thief Found in Jail
A suspect in a September theft was found in the Orange County Jail earlier this week. The saga began in September with a wallet stolen from a locker at the Port Orange YMCA. Over $6000 in electronics was then purchased, including camcorders, two laptops, two 46-inch televisions, and power cords.
Using photos and videos of the suspect buying electronics with stolen credit cards from the wallet, police issued a warrant for a 22-year-old man and charged him with fraudulent use of a credit card. The Port Orange police were then contacted by the Orange County Sheriff's office earlier this week after arresting a man for domestic violence that fit the Port Orange description. A Walmart clerk then picked the alleged thief out of a police lineup as the one who made the purchases.
If you have been charged with theft or domestic violence in the Orange County or Orlando, Florida area, or anywhere else in the state of Florida, please contact the experienced criminal defense attorneys at the Umansky Law Firm.
