Homeland Security Employee Arrested on Drugs Charges

A 41-year-old man working as a security officer at Orlando International Airport was arrested on drug and weapons charges in Palm Bay. Security officers are part of the Transportation Security Administration, which falls under the umbrella of the Department of Homeland Security.

Police allegedly found cocaine, marijuana that was bagged and ready for sale, several pistols, a shotgun, around 100 rounds of ammo, and over $6000. He now faces charges including possession of marijuana with intent to sell, trafficking in cocaine, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

These are extremely serious charges and may put this individual in prison for a very long time. Florida’s drug laws are known nationally for being very tough. And because Florida is a hub of drug trafficking, many people are caught up in the lure of what seems like easy money. However, the downside is that, if these people are caught and convicted, they may spend many years behind bars.

Missing out on part of your life for a lapse in judgment can be devastating for both you and your loved ones. It does not have to be this way. The Umansky Law Firm defends those who have been charged with drug possession, use, trafficking, importation, and more.

If you have been charged with a drug offense in the Orange County or Orlando, Florida area, or anywhere else in Florida, please contact the Umansky Law Firm for an initial and confidential case evaluation.
