Theft Case Dropped on Day of Trial
The client is a young immigrant who started up her own children’s clothing company. She was allegedly seen placing olive oil and body wash into her baby’s stroller and walking out of Publix without paying for the items. However, she did pay for several other items. She was confronted and said that she simply forgot the items were in the stroller, but Publix still wanted her prosecuted.
The young woman maintained her innocence throughout, and even flew back to Florida from New York for a trial. When the day of the trial approached, the prosecution dropped the case.
If you have been charged with theft in Orange County or Orlando, Florida, or anywhere else in the state of Florida, please contact the experienced criminal defense attorneys at the Umansky Law Firm for an initial and confidential case evaluation.
