Battery Charge Dropped against Client

A recent Umansky Law Firm client was employed as a supervisor at an afterschool youth program. These programs are set up to support children in a range of activities, including enrichment programs, schoolwork and athletics. Many of them are government sponsored. The parents who put their children in afterschool programs trust that those in charge will protect them and keep them safe.

The afterschool supervisor was charged with allegedly battering a 13-year-old girl during an altercation at the afterschool facility and arrested. This type of charge can irreparably ruin a reputation and a life. However, attorney Zahra Umansky successfully convinced the prosecutor’s office to drop the charges against the client.
