Violation of Probation Ends Up in a Termination of Probation without Further Penalties
A recent Umansky Law Firm client violated his probation for DUI by failing to complete his community service and his recommended treatment. The client hired the experienced DUI attorneys at the Umansky Law Firm prior to his violation of probation hearing where he was facing the possibility of six months in jail. The attorneys were able to get additional time for the client to complete his obligations, and ultimately convinced the judge to terminate the client’s probation early with no additional sanctions.
Many people who have been unfortunate enough to get a DUI believe that they don’t have any options and that their lives are ruined for this one mistake. This can’t be further from the truth. Those who do not obtain legal representation may have a more difficult time, but as this story shows, hiring an experienced attorney can help in many aspects. Violation of the terms of probation is taken seriously, but by speaking to a lawyer, you may feel better about your options.
If you have been charged with a DUI or violating your probation, please contact the Umansky Law Firm for an initial consultation. We serve the Orange County and Orlando, Florida area, as well as the rest of the state of Florida.
