Denver police arrested 41 people for their involvement in a meth ring in the north metro area. Authorities say the suspects used women as drug mules and used classic Batman and Superman comics to hide their profits. One hundred boxes of first-edition comics in plastic wrap were seized. It is believed the comics held upwards of $500,000

Colorado Attorney General John Suthers said 19 of the 41 are suspected of violating the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act. Two brothers are accused of being the kingpins of the drug ring and are thought to have brought the drugs from Phoenix. Authorities allege this means the meth is probably from Mexico. They are being held on $1 million bail each.

Officers say the seized quantities of the drug add up to 100,000 doses per month with a street value of $2 million. They believe this seizure will significantly reduce the amount of meth in the Denver area.
